I haven't tried this cream, but because I once suffered from Lichen Planus/Lichen Simplex Chronicus and cured myself with another natural product (St. John's Wort), I was curious about it when you posted. I went to check out the fabulous reviews, which encouraged me to dig deeper to see if the claimed ingredients might have some common medicinal properties with St. John's Wort.
To my great surprise, they do. The Chinese Herbs claimed to be used in the cream have documented medicinal properties to help combat the bacteria Staphylococcus Aureus. It is now believed that this bacteria may be the main factor behind most varieties of atopic dermatitis.
Therefore, given the very positive reviews, I would certainly give it a try. There never is a guarantee of purity with any OTC product and anyone may be at risk of developing a reaction with any substance anyways, but I think there is enough anecdotal and scientific evidence to support that this product may work for many people.
Best of luck,
Greg.

How did you cure yourself with St. John's Wort? Topical or oral? Can you please give me detailed information? Mine is on genital. Not severe but really stresses me. Want to cure

Hi Constantine,
I cured myself completely after a 6 month treatment with 600mg/day of standardized oral SJW extract. The effects on my wounds became very noticeable after 6 weeks, but because my skin had several layers of lichen, it took up to 6 months to clear everything and restore my skin to its original condition. Both of my front legs used to be covered with horrible looking wounds from knee level to ankle. I have a detailed post in the Alternative and Complementary Medicine section of this forum called "20 year case of Eczema cured with St. John's Wort" if you want to read many more details and access scientific information on the Web.
I had no side-effects whatsoever during the period of my treatment, including no rash of any sort during sun exposure (a claimed potential side-effect with SJW oral consumption). I also hadn't changed anything particular in my lifestyle or diet and was not taking any conventional drug during my treatment. Yes there are potential side-effects and drug interactions with SJW, but they affect a minority a people. You should avoid feeling too anxious prior to starting a treatment course with any natural product, but it is a good thing to be aware of any sign that would suggest you must discontinue treatment. Each person is unique and there is no way to predict the outcome of your own treatment, nor any possible side-effect that you will potentially encounter in advance. You usually will need a decent dose of courage and patience if you hope to win the combat against any disease claimed to be incurable by conventional medicine.
To come back to the subject of this cream advertised on Amazon, I believe the miraculous effects in very little time may be due to a synergy of medicinal effects from the various plant extracts utilized. I don't think you should be too concerned about the low price of the product. Just because it's inexpensive does not mean it cannot be effective. BTW, there are also people who claim to have experienced similar relief with a SJW cream and this has been backed up by actual clinical trials (just type up "SJW cream Eczema clinical trials" in your search engine to read on the subject.
I hope this helps... Again, I stress that courage and patience are usually needed when you attempt any alternative treatment. Hope for the best, knowing that your own results or side-effects may not be the same as those of others. But at least, you now know there are potential options for a cure out there.
Regards,
Greg.

Thanks for information Greg. I think your skin condition was AD not lichen planus. Do you think it will help LP also? Especially on genitals? Only ED frightens me among SJW's side effects. Will SJW bath help me instead oral SJW caps?

Atopic Dermatitis is an expression that encompasses a number of skin conditions that are often vulgarized to the simple disease most generalists and laymen call eczema. I had seen a few generalists and dermatologists during my 20 year ordeal. The very first ones simply called my disease eczema, then it was called Lichen Simplex Chronicus, and finally, the last dermatologists I saw revised the diagnosis, saying my lesions had the etiological characteristics of a combination of LSC with Lichen Planus. The important factor to remember at this point in time of the understanding of most varieties of atopic dermatitis, is the common denominator they share with the bacteria Staphylococcus Aureus. There are also many strains of the bacteria, most of which have now unfortunateley become resistant to conventional antibiotics.
Anything that you try on your lesions and that is generally believed to be helpful against Staph bacteria has the potential of providing relief, if not an outright cure. Aloe Vera, Calendula, Comfrey and Turmeric are also believed to be helpful. As I mentioned, there is just no way to be sure what may work best for you, and some substances could unfortunately provoke an allergic reaction to the point of aggravating your condition.
If you want to put better chances on your side, you could see an allergologist and have him patch-test you for any substance you may want to try. This still wouldn't guarantee positive results against your disease, but it may prevent you from trying something that would have the potential of causing a severe reaction on your skin. Such tests may be costly and time-consuming as well.
So no, I'm sorry to say that I cannot answer your question with any degree of certainty. At one point, you must decide if the risk/reward ratio of trying something may be worthwhile and if you are willing to accept any potential consequence.
One thing that may give you faith is to read as much as you can on the plant extracts you may like to try, hoping the information is as accurate as possible and that your body will respond like the majority of people (and not the few who can develop unpleasant or even severe reactions).

Hi MaryPooh,
The information you are reading about is not mine, but that of all those wonderful researchers out there who are struggling to provide solutions for our often very complex medical conditions. You can do wonders for yourself and others if you are willing to spend a little bit of time to dig about recent discoveries and how they may be helpful in providing relief. I am no doctor and knew very little and still know very little. I just try to share what little things I have read about and seem to provide reasonable odds to help, while I have a little bit of spare time on hand.
You are correct that Emuaid may provide help for conditions surrounding bacteria since it contains tea tree oil and Colloidal silver among other ingredients, according to its manufacturer. Both are known to help combat bacterial infections. You can type the names of those ingredients on the Internet and find out many interesting things on how they can help provide relief. On the other hand, Emuaid is not the same cream that Constantine was referring to on the site Amazon. It's manufacturer calls it Silvercell, but the list of its ingredients does not include Colloidal Silver as the name may suggest. It is mostly a cream made out of many extracts of Chinese Herbs, also known to help combat tough bacterial infections. It might also help provide relief in your case!
Your doctors are also correct that there is no known direct link between the Epstein Barr Virus and Staph Bacteria. However, your basic instinct is correct because any virus affecting you may weaken your immune system, making you more vulnerable to infections of all sorts. So it's a good thing that your homeopath has provided you with [Hyp], which as you read correctly, is a homeopathic extract of St. John's Wort. HYPericum Perforatum is the latin name for the plant that we commonly call St. John's Wort in plain English, and it has known anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties, so it certainly has the potential to help with your very complex condition.
You have the right attitude and are on the proper path that may help lessen your suffering and that of others. Just carry on reading more and more and one day you might just find what works the best for you. It is hard work for people like us who have little scientific knowledge but with patience, we can often learn things from others that may improve, if not cure our conditions.
I wish you great luck on your path to better health!
Greg.

Thanks Greg I will carry on reading etc. But it's wrong that the doctors can't help more and that we are left in agony to try to find our own types of relief ! Btw I have suffered with depression since I was 17 am now 55 so I guess that has worn my system down !!!! Xx

You see Mary, it's not wrong that Doctors can't help you more. They are trying to help you as best they can with what knowledge they have, what guidelines they must follow and also a limited knowledge of yourself! Only YOU know yourself better than anyone else through your own instinct and that's why you should read as much as you can until something strikes a harmonious chord with your entire being and condition. That's when you know that you may have a potential solution on hand, one that can hopefully set you onto the path of recovery. I wish you great discoveries!
