Simple cysts and ovulation

Hi,
I'm a little confused as to wether I would still be ovulating with simple cysts,I've only been given the name Simple Cysts when I pressed the Dr for more information. He said that's what we're trying to find out.( which one)
I guess the are two types?Usually I have 3-5 days of cm ,but I still don't know if you can have that and no egg released?
There are 3 remaining, largest 3cm and no pain TG .I would and still might take an ovulation test but they can be expensive.
Any info would be great

One can ovulate in presence of simple and other cyts. Depends. We are all individuals. Follicles are often called cysts and follicles are vital to have ovulations in the first place. Luteal simple cysts can take months to burst and rest still working well.
Anyway:
there is a cost free test (if you have a thermometer) if you are ovulating or not, but requires your cooperation daily in the morning and patience, if possible same time:
observation, temperature measurement.
You measure your 'basal' temperature upon waking up,
before getting up
and write it down best in a chart (look at natural family planning charts).
Once the temperature stayed up slightly elevated for 3 days (and you have no infection, flu, cold), the ovulation has happened on that day just before the temp elevation. The confirmation comes with the onset of menstruation.
Also usually before ovulation one can observe a different mucus coming out, very stretchy, watery, much.
Did this temp measuring for years,
one becomes very used to it and clearly can see if ovulation happened, if menstruation onset fit into it too
(I had e.g. PCO at a point, still ovulated and luteal phase was shortened down to 10 days instead of roughly 14, no fertilised egg could have nidated successfully)
But yes, in hindsight it always showed the ovulation day pretty well.
Without ovulation the temperature does not rise (unless you were ill).
All the best!

I think things are starting to get back to more normal,I was very steady at a 26 day cycle then suddenly went to 44 and discovered the cysts.Started
fixing diet and trying some natural remedies and the next was 33.It will be interesting what this one will be!

It's a very time consuming road.
Observation is good info,
also for doc, in order to see influences on your cycle.
They always ask about 'duration' of cycle, but if you can supply also an ovulation date and luteal phase duration, the better.
Good that the cyst was discovered and can monitor it,
if stays, bursts or grows.
You are under doc observation.
(After PCO and functioning cycle had a 5cm cyst, didn't worry me, but stayed and turned out to be complex after 2 years, removed, all good, baby afterwards. As long as everything is benign, ....time is on our side)
I wish you much patience since it's always a wait and see game, too.
All the best!!!
