Simple ovarian cyst causing lots of problems?

In December last year i went to the dr with pelvic pain. They found a 6cm cyst on ultrasound on my right ovary. My gynaecologist said it was a simple cyst and we rechecked it in February and it had decreased in size by about half so was around 3.5cm. I was told it was a functional cyst and to come back in 6 months. 

But since February all of my symptoms have gottten worse. I have irregular periods, low back pain, spotting, pain all throughout my pelvis which is like a generalised ache all the time. 

I don’t understand why my cyst has gottten smaller but my symptoms have gotten worse. I contacted my gynaecologist and he just said to go for another ultrasound in a month and come back. I have booked my ultrasound for the 28th of June and am crapping my pants, I feel like my pelvis is full of cancer, the anxiety associated with all the pain and not knowing is killing me.

    Don’t worry I have cyst on left ovary and in the past 3 months I had a pain that I though I was giving birth and i rush to the hospital and they think the cyst burst... and last months I had it again but I did a heating pad and it went away the pain. Ansiety make things worse. Good luck and we are here (((hugs)))

    Get your ultrasound and don’t worry about cancer.  You are pre menopausal chances are the cyst will disappear.  Cancer is very rare in your case.  Maybe your doctor can prescribe you something for your pain.  Definitely get it taken care of.  Best of luck with everything.

    hi i think you need to get another look at the just incase ive never herd of a cyst to shrink oh how lucky that is but there has got too be something more to it see your gp an push for more answers especially if you are in this pain no female needs to go threw this honestly ok  i have just had my surgery on the 29th may i had a dermoid cyst 16cm big growing on my left ovary thank god they sved my ovay an now because i had no ears wana smoke cigys an drink alcohol i have an infection in my tummy so please after your surgery try not to drink n smoke you wont heal fast. let me no how you get on they need to inject the blue dye in your body so when you go for a ct scan they will defnatly see whats wrong hope you get this done asap the symptoms you are having is exactly what i had but my cyst was growing not shrinking good luck on your journey you need all the support you can get let me know how you get on an dont take no for a answer you keep going to you find out whats wrong love an light samantha d
