I had accident at work and have had two quarter zone injections since accident.
I find hard to stand for long periods and sitting for long periods.
At present I get tingling sensations with shooting pains in lower back going into hip and left knee.
As I cant take Codine I am on Lyrica and Mobic.
How can I stop tingling / shooting pains

Hello,
Have you had an MRI yet? It sounds like something is bothering your spine. I have an SCS ..(Spinal Cord Stimulator) which help me within the same areas. It does take several times to program the SCS. At first, I had some issues, but I just went to my Dr. and had it programmed again to silent, and so far everything seems to be okay It only take away 50% of the pain. it's not a miracle worker but it helps with my pain especially in my lower back. Talk to your Dr. about it. It starts off with a trial first. Good Luck!

There is no reason you can't be on a narcotic with Lyrica and Mobic. I am a physician and have used those with narcotics. You have sciatica it sounds like, which it irritation of the long nerve that supplies your leg. You need, as was suggested, an MRI to see exactly what the accident did to your back before you do anything else. LOL I couldn't figure out what a Quarter Zone injection was but my iPad did right away, cortisone. Where were these injections given? Were they epidural? Usually a series of 3 epidural cortisone injections is very good at reducing any swelling, bulging or even herniated discs back into place. It is the suggested first line of treatment, the conservative line of treatment for any disc disease. But, you really need to know what you are treating, you need a test to see what is wrong with your back.
