singular red bump on shaft of penis

About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed a small red bump on the shaft of my penis. I didn’t think much of it, as I assumed it was an ingrown hair. It has been completely painless the entire time, but about 10 days ago I was squeezing it and a small amount of white puss came out. It seems to have stayed the same time, but I’m a little bit concerned that it hasn’t gone away. It also has a hard little lump (very tiny, probably half a cm or smaller) in the center of it and it reminds me of a pimple but I can’t seem to pop out the middle little lump. I have tried to just leave it alone but getting a little bit concerned. Planning on going to a doctor but wanted to see what anyone thought, is it possible an ingrown hair could stay for that long?
