Sinus arrhythmia is making me very sad and scared, how can I prevent it from happening?

Hello! I've never had heart issues before so I'm kind of nervous about my hert acting weird right now. When I was sitting at dinner 4 months ago my heart started beating super fast out of no where and I thought I was having a heart attack and I'm only 27. I felt like I was going to faint and had shortness of breath. The fact that I thought maybe I was having a heart attack put me in panic mode I think which made things worse. I literally thought I was going to die. I could barely breath and was shaking by the time I arrived to the emergency room. Once I arrived, they did an EKG and said that I was experiencing palpitations which scared me and then caused me to have bad anxiety or panic attack. Blood work was done and they said everything looked fine but my potassium was low. I wasn't having a heart attack after all. I started taking potassium pills on and off since I was told I had low potassium.

For 3 months after that, I didn't experience anything like that again...until about 4 weeks ago. It was a Friday when my heart started to flutter while sitting and I went into panic mode again and thought I was going to die again. Sonehow my friend relaxed me and talked me out of going to the ER because he knew that they probably wouldn't find anything again and I would just rack up another expensive bill. I have no insurance by the way! sad..The same thing with my heart happened the day after on Saturday and then on Sunday. On Sunday, I got light headed after the palpitations and felt really weird. Maybe it was just anxiety that caused me to feel weird. I'm not sure but I couldn't take it and ended up going to the ER again and they told me everything looked normal. Before this happened Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I had been taking potassium more frequently. Maybe I have too potassium in my body now which may be causing the frequent noticeable palpitations...I dont know. I went to a primary care doctor last week and she did an EKG and said that I have a sinus arrhythmia...irregular heart beat..She said that it's a common thing. I don't feel like my normal self anymore and I even have tingling in my left hand when I have episodes now but have to tell myself to breath before I have a super scary panic attack. When the episodw happens, I feel like I have low oxygen. I keep thinking that I need to see a cardiologist to make sure I'm really okay. I'm not sure if it will go away on it's own but it's happening like everyday now which really changes the quality of my life and I no longer do a lot of things that I used to do because I'm scared it's going to happen again.

I really want these symptoms to go away. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you. Is anyone familiar with what I'm experiencing?

Also, my doctor said that my iron isn't low and that I'm not anemic. My MCV level was low...77.6..

Were you tested for pulmonary embolism or emboli? It would have been a d-dimer blood test or chest CT with contrast.

No, I haven't been tested for either. Would I go to a specialist for that? I really want it to go away. Thank you for responding.

You would usually only get a CT if you have had the blood test. You could ask your GP for that. Are you or have you been on the combined contraceptive pill?

No, I'm not taking any type of medications at this time. I wonder if I just have an electrolyte imbalance
