Sinus infection is dragging me down

Hi.  Headache, thick throat (not sore), ears sore, forehead sore to touch (yes, I know, then don't touch it 😂wink then every now and again I feel a bit dizzy, this in turn makes me feel like I'm going to be sick and I get really hot, bit scary.  I get sinus infections every couple of months and it's driving me mad.  Over the past few months I've had anxiety and been down in myself, my GP, well she checks my throat, ears etc., then presses around my forehead & nose and gives me ANOTHER course of antibiotics, as they do.  So what I wonder is are all the symptoms, caused by sinus infection, as I type here I'm on day four of banging head etc., & I hope nobody looks in my windows and see me going around my house with a pair of sunglasses on 😳 Tired of it all as it just seems to be one thing after another and the thoughts of sitting for another hour or so in GPs waiting room & another course of antibiotics is putting me off going.  Anyone else been through this with "sinus infection". T'u in advance.

    Ask you GP to send you to an ENT. I had similar years ago and after a visit to an ENT he found nasal polyps and removed them. It helped. Hope the best for you.

      T'u.  I was at ENT two years ago, he sent me for MRI, results came back as showing "a bit of infection in sinuses" he seem to think it was no big deal, but I wonder if he ever had a sinus infection🙄  I was given a spray! I  have had an infection every couple of months,   GP has said my choice is operation or medication and that an operation only lasts months and is not long term.  I was chatting to a lady in GPs waiting room and she said, don't go for an operation whatever you do!  Since I turned 50 I'm falling apart 😂 I'm so tired and I would think my hubby and kids are sick of me being sick.  But, I think I will go to GP tomorrow as I can't shift this with steam, spray etc,,  again Thank you for coming back to me, means a lot when I have someone out there that understands & I would think my family are fed up listening to me.

      Have you tried a sinus rinse? It helps me and clears out the nasty mucous when I get an infection. I also us it when I've been in a very dusty area.

    hi, i had a sinus infection to, its already 3 months since the symptoms started,

    i know the feeling.. sometimes i been thinking that maybe im dying coz there are several times that its hard to breath..ive been to ENT, and been to endoscopy and xray... my xray results was unremarkable.. during the endoscopy,, the Doctor find out that i have sinusitis.. ive been taking another antibiotic,antihistamine & nasal spray.... hoping for wellness... we should avoid dust,gasolines,ammoniums,frangrances&bleach.. coz it can trigger the symptoms..

      Thanks Kim, it's rotten.  Spoke to a gent yesterday in waiting room and he said his Mum used to boil celery and get them to drink the water when any of them had sinus infection?!  I'm going to give it a go, sure what's the worst that can happen.  Bad and all as I'm feeling I had to smile, why?  With all the things listed to avoid I just might give up on housework - lol..

      l have been put on strong antibiotics so I will see how that goes and of course the celery water 😳.  Hope we all feel better soon.

      hi, i will try that celery thing too..

      as of now my breathing was good,but post nasal drip still exist.. i only have 5 pcs antibiotic left.. next week is my follow up check up schedule to my ENT Doctor,,

      Perhaps if shed suggest endoscopy again, she'll give me good results..

      Life was very beautiful.. so i keep on praying that God may still give me free air to breath everyday even im suffering sinusitis..

    Hi, I know how you feel. Iv'e had this sinus infection for 4 weeks now. Not sure antibiotics is the answer, no good if it's a virus. usually I can shift these sinus infections but this one is hanging on now. hope you feel better soon

      Hi.  I don't do things by half, ears, throat and sinus infected, any one of those would be enough, but no I have to get them all!!  I've only taken 3rd day of antibiotic and the banging head has gone and my ears are not sore just crackling, if you know what I mean, so Please God this antibiotic seems to be sorting it.  I also got a sea salt spray and between all I seem to be getting there but I'm wrecked.. Worth it if it clears my head.  feel better soon.

    I can understand everything that you are going through i had a severe attack over easter was in hospital on 30th march  they padded my nose with antibiotics i was in for 3 days but they done very little else they took blood tests for allergies it takes 6 weeks for results sinse i came out of hospital it has gone mental musos steady running down the back of my throat they put me on a new spray demista which i thought was making it worse so i went back to just using the salt rinse and steam all them specialists say that the ct scan said showed nothing only  allergies,i have this crazy complaint 4 years but it has got worse, its just mucos that i am bothered with but it is very very bad, i have given up going to the gp as he just gives me more antibiotics, I hope we all get some cure for this terror of a complaint, this is one of my better nights if i could call it that,
