Sinusitis

I've got sinusitis due, i think, to a deviated septum. I'm seeing an ENT specialist in July. I can't use steroid sprays because I'm extremely sensitive to the steroids, they cause me heart palpitations. To be honest, they weren't helping anyway, it has got so bad. Im using nasal saline wash twice a day. My misery comes early in the morning when I wake up I'm in absolute agony and I wake up feeling as though I've got a hangover it's very very unpleasant as most of you would probably know. I'm sleeping propped up. I've got to get up about 5 in the morning because if I sleep any longer than that then my whole day is ruined, if I'm lucky I'll get away with having a mild headache for the day if I'm unlucky I'm just in a agony. Pretty miserable time I've just come out of recovery after years of bowel surgery for diverticulitis, this is the last thing I need. So my question is do any of you who suffered from this have any idea what I can do for relief until I can get in to see the specialist? Any advice appreciated.

Not really, my main problem is pain. There is definitely pressure and feeling like my ears are blocked. The headache is awful. Nothing gets rid of it.
