Sinusitis with absolute horrific symptoms

Hello, I am new to this website. I guess I need to explain from the beginning. For the past three years I have been going through a horrible time. The first day started when I suddenly felt like I was going to faint. I was extremely anxious all day. That progressed into this awful head pressure, where I would get random bouts of an off balance feeling. I had to stop driving. I went to numerous doctors where I had blood tests, mri brain scan, ear specialists...all came back clear. The only thing I was told by the ent doctor, was I possibly had silent migraines, so I was put on tablets. I eventually started feeling better months after, but would still get this off balance feeling and feel disoriented. A month ago, I was walking down the street and had a sudden drop in my body which made me dizzy and also followed by a panic attack... ( I had my heart checked and also a 24 hour blood pressure monitor the day before this happened and results were clear) and ever since then... I have been so anxious, constant disoriented feeling, off balance, my eyes have also been checked recently, but i can't even go on my computer now since this happened. I have had a couple of times where I have looked at my computer and got a couple of seconds of spinning dizziness. I have never had that problem, as I have always been on the computer for long periods of time. I am constantly tired even though I sleep extremely well. My ears feel full sometimes and if I open my mouth my ears crackle or my jaw. I had enough of my doctor and decided to go to a new one. I had asked a lot of doctors about checking my sinuses, because in the past two years I have been getting post nasal drip, a lot of pressure in my face, nose always running, sneezing daily and a lot of mucus daily at the back of my throat. This doctor actually listened to me and I finally got a ct scan. It showed I have a deviated septum with a large concha ballosa in the right side of my nose and something about having a very small middle tubinate. I have to see a specialist and will probably need surgery. I would like to mention as well that I have always had anxiety but it has never ever once made me feel off balance or disoriented. I would like to know from patients who have had surgery or gone through anything similar with the symptoms I have mentioned? Especially the disoriented spaced out feeling. I am afraid to go out anymore, as I just feel it every single day. I am 22 and it has completely stopped me in my tracks in terms of studying. I would love to hear from you and anything that has helped you take away the disoriented feeling. Thank you.

I'm sorry to hear how your feeling . You are are not alone though as I have similar symptoms in regards to the sinus condition ie post Nasal drip from excess muccus from an infection they won't go away even after countless courses of antibiotics followed 2 sinus surgeries yes 2.

This does effect you mentally with symptoms of anxiety depression and fatigue which I have . The only remedies that are helping is Neilmed Sinus rinse and a good naturopath that does his best with good advice on vitamins and minerals to help both the mental and physical symptoms .

Unfortunately there is no overnight cure for all of these problems so many people suffer but we can get second opinions as I have done and hopefully can make life a bit easier .

The fact is I never knew when looking at the big picture how unhealthy I am as I never wanted all this I just want to be happy and healthy is it too much to ask.

    Anyway all the best .

Hey!!! I've been exactly where you are, I'm 5 months in. your tired because your off balance and your brain has to work harder to compensate. This causes fatigue. The drop feeling you got is common with vestibular issues. Take it easy and relax if you can. I am receiving VRT which reall helps the balance/dizzy issues and acupuncture for sinus issues. I still have bad days, but getting there. Hope that helps.

Very strange that I would find someone that had the exact symptoms I had. I went through rigorous testing at the ents office for the dizziness. To add to that I couldn't hear out of my left ear so they put a tube in it but before they can put the two minutes they had to vacuum it out because of all the mucus. My head also felt full. I did not have benign positional vertigo. Have you been tested for that? That would be awesome if you did not so you could test for it and maybe that would be it. There is more that you could do like a brain scan not a CT scan maybe even a brain MRI. Like I think to myself there has to be an explanation for this. The dizziness was bad for about a month and a half. I had 6 allergy regimens including three inhalers. The trees around here are terrible I'm in Texas. Have you had pains in your temporal lobes?

Also it all seemed to come too I don't know from the ents office she sent me to a neurological doctor and he seated my head finding there was no cranial Damage Duh! So you have not gone back to a real neurologist because it's just so many doctors I've been going to I'm tired

Hi Rockin R, thank you so much for replying! It's nice to know I am not alone, and gives me some sort of hope. When I went to the ENT, I went through numerous tests including a Caloric test, no signs of any vertigo activity and had my head whipped back and forth a few times. This was done three years ago. The brain scan was an MRI, they thought they found a tumor on my pituitary gland, and had to go back in, but turns out it was an image fault. I've still always wondered about that though. Again, that was done almost three years ago. I don't think I have been tested for benign positional vertigo. I don't get actual dizziness apart from when I was on a computer the two times a couple of weeks ago. It's just this constant off balance, drugged/spacey feeling. I also went to a nearologist after waiting for 3 years! He thought it might have been a heart problem, which is why I had to get a 24 hour blood pressure monitor and also a heart rate monitor. I do actually get a lot of pain in my temples from time to time, and it does sort of circulate at the side of my head too. Were the inhalers working for you? I have been using a nasal spray, but it isn't really working for me. I have to see an ENT again, but I am not sure how long it will take. I am going to ring them soon, as I don't want it to take three years waiting time again.

Diagnosing positional benign vertigo is very easy. You can do it at home by yourself. Find a clean flat surface to lay on preferably the floor lol. Lay with your head facing towards the ceiling and just relax and slowly turn your head to the right while relaxing and breathing as far as you can and pull it back to the beginning position heat press turn your head slowly to the left relaxing and breathing throughout and then bring her head back to the straight up forward position. Repeat this 3 times. Be easy when you get back on your feet just in case your equilibrium has been adjusted. And that's all it is adjusting your own equilibrium. Also an answer or a observation from

Another type of vertigo that you may be experiencing is Flicker Vertigo. I have trouble with computer screens as well.
