I know how it feels and how a lot of people dont understand. I have had anxiety on and off for years which then maifested itself as Helath anxiety, probably becuase I am getting older and have a massive fear of dying too. I take lustral (75mg), I do lots more excersise now which, even though I hate it helps me so much, mostly running, well slow running smile I did a few weeks CBT which was good, I have an aromatherapy massage about onece a month if I can afford it and I was doing shiatsu too, not sure if that really helped but I always felt really relaxed afterwards. I also work full time and that keeps me too busy for negative thinking. Dont try and get rid of bad thoughts, just let them come into your hrad and then gp out again and focus on good things and keep busy even if you dont feel like it. I remember my tummy going round and round and I kept getting up (once over the worst) and coming to work even though I didnt like it. I always ate before I took my tablet too - and even now I have to eat beforehand. People on here really helped me keep going and stopped me googling symptoms! x

It was about 8-9 weeks before I felt completely "normal" again, well normal for me as everyone is different. I remeber saying to my husband I am never going to feel normal again but I kept going and I did x

Its good you work and ave something else to focus on but you also need to find something to help you relax too which is why I have the massages and shiatsu.

I also did private counselling a NHS was shocking and the bloke made me feel worse! In November, I thought I was going to have to postpone my wedding that was booked for Febrtuary but I didnt, I kept going and had an amazing day. Yes u will! You will have days where you dont feel so good, but then who doesnt - I have a raging headache today but trying not to over think it and just thinlking I will try and get an early night tonight x

It will help slow the thought down a bit so you will be able to process them better. As with anything, unfortunately there's no easy button. Its almost as though you have to train yourself to not think or redirect your thoughts. You will get back where you need and want to be. Unfortunately as well as there's no time frame in which that will happen. Don't tell yourself,I'm not going to think of this or that,BC that's only going to make you think of it more . Chin up things are going to get better

Hey Don, have you tried visiting a clinical psychologist? I've been seeing one once per week for the past month together with taking 50mg of Sertraline and together, they've both really helped me.

You seem to be really struggling at the moment, it may be worth speaking to your GP to arrange an appointment to speak to one.
