Six weeks post op Hip Replacement-Incision issues.

Hello to everyone, I need some advice my incision is totally healed on the ends but in the middle it opened up. I went back to the doc twice for this and instead of cleaning it out and closing the area, I was told to put povidone iodine on it. P\T had to be stopped the first week. I just looked at it and it open more this evening than it was this morning. It was a lazy day for me I tried not to do much. Any advice would be so appreciated.

    have you asked for it to be looked at by a nurse? i got an infection that took a lot of anti biotics ,and district nurse care before it healed. use the iodine its good stuff, in the end to heal the hole left post infection the nurse used a seaweed based oil and lint, healed it up in a week.

    generally nurses are far superior than Gp for wound care as they have all the new up to date knowledge at their fingertips ..i hope it heals soon. one more thing ! ask Gp to swab it , just a thought . mine was swabbed it was e-coli . just ask, cant hurt
