My immediate reaction when I read it was they must have a different sort of PMR in Rome!!! If I ever get to see my rheumy here in Italy again (due an appointment postponed due to Covid-19) I will ask him - but he trained in Austria and sees more Tyrolean patients ...

My CRP never got above range except on one day when I had a bad atrial fibrillation episode (not diagnosed at the time).

In all of the reading I did when diagnosed with PMR/GCA over 2 years & 10 months ago the average remission was about 5.9 years before remission & that wasn't a closed study but a finding of information collected on thousands of people. I wish I had a 6 month recovery. CRP lab test has never once gone to a normal range of 1-8 but has been on average 15.9 CRP. My doctor told me it was because I have so many other medical problems that might be the cause of the Prednisone no being able to put me in that range but it sure beats being over`100 crp & I can walk again.
