I think it is called sleep paralysis. It needs checking out but pls try not to worry.
If u live in the U most hospitals have access to sleep laboratoriesFor exmple the Nationaaaaa Hospital for Neurology and Nuerosurgery, Qu4n Square London .

I too have experienced this twice but the second time I asked it to stop & go away & it did and never happened again so I felt more incontrol
No idea what it is but it scared me so much at the time so I do sympathise
All I can suggest is try not to let it stress you bc it might just cause more stress

The more people focus & worry it only fuels the anxiousness so try to have a different approach as best as you can but I appreciate it takes time to eliminate the fear because it's an unpleasant experience
Hope this helps

Don't worry you are experiencing sleep paralysis. Try get you friends to touch you or to move you this will stop it very quickly . Of course you need to forewarn them. Perhaps a note pinned to above your head board will suffice to explain what to do and what is happpeng. It is NOT something from the dark world as another poster has posted. The experience you describe is noted in neurologicl journals.
