My first episode was 2010-2011.. diagnosed by a dermatologist, steroids cleared it up. Nothing more until October 2016, again steroids have helped, its slowing clearing.

I think, with OLP, there is an element of: the better you can get it with treatment (mine is betnesol and green tea extract) the better it stays. The trouble is then that a sore throat or injury like accidentally biting the inside of your mouth can worsen it again. If it does have a period of being worse, and you are on topical steroids, particularly if you have upped treatment intensity, there is always a possibility that an anti-thrush treatment may be needed.

      Hi,

I have LP on my skin (had mostly on legs) from past 10 years and tried out all steroidal creams and oral medication prescribed by dermatologists. Unfortunately, on stopping the medication I got back LP on my arms too. Which is frustrating sad so I have started trying home remedies like consuming alovera juice and applying the gel too. Please let me know if you have tried any home remedies for your skin and found any difference. Looking forward to hear from you.
