Skin around clit inflamed

The skin around my clit is really red and irritated. My doctor swabbed me for a yeast infection/BV and nothing came back. I was given a steroid cream for the itchiness and it didn't help. She never actually took a look at it. Sometimes white stuff gathers around it and I have to wipe it off gently with a wet q-tip. Help? What is this?

Could it be some kind of allergy dermatitis or skin reaction to chemicals e.g laundry powder? Or maybe irritation due to rubbing or tight clothes. I suggest trying some hyper allergenic laundry powder/liquid and conditioner. Also avoid tight jeans for a while. Perhaps even wear no underpants when in the house. That’s what I do because my skin in that area is very sensitive. I go around in baggy jogging bottoms or skirt with no underpants. If I do get an irritation I apply pure organic cold pressed virgin coconut oil (available in all supermarkets) which has anti inflammatory properties and also anti viral, anti bacterial and anti fungal properties.

Sounds like from hormone's to me, are you going through the change this can cause dryness and irritation leading to imflammation, the steroid cream will help you, with this type of condition you can also get yeast, glad she cultured you for it to, let it get air while you are at home, wear loose clothes, cotton under wear, as you use the steroid cream it will get better.
