Skin Burning, No Redness or Itching

The skin around my shoulder blades, upper arms, and wrists has a burning sensation, usually later in the evening when tired. No redness or itching, but any touch is incredibly painful. Feels like a severe sunburn, but worse. A dermatologist suggested using Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, but no difference. Another said shield my skin from heavy sun, so I wore long clothing for a year, no difference. I exercise five days a week. I've cut out added sugars, caffeine, candy. I eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and drink recommended water level. First occurred when I was a teenager, then stopped for 20 years, now ongoing for over three years and getting worse. Any ideas? I looked at Proximal Motor Neuropathy, but my symptoms are on both sides of body.
