hey all,
so ive had this redness on my arms for a couple of weeks i jist thought it was sunburn (its summer in aus) but it hasnt seemed to go away its not overly red but i suppose because i know what my skin normally looks like its noticeable to me. just wondering has anyone else got this from the medication? its not itchy or burning its just there and sometimes i notice it in my forearms aswell. its just annoying more than anything but today i cant get my mind off of it!

No replies yet? They're having an extra lie in obviously!
I have not had any redness like that, but I have had a couple of bad instances of itching, I am starting to itch now just thinking about it! This itching started where my psoriossis is (I have osteoarthritis too - Oh! the joys of growing old!), but did arise in most areas one night when in bed.
So, I think it may be Cita based, but like anyone will tell you, if in doubt talk to your Doctor.
Anyway, as the other forum'ers wake up I am sure you'll get the more helpful advice you are seeking!
In the meantime keep in the shade!
Regards from a cold Devon, UK.

I thought I'd give it a little time before replying in case of another over lap of discussions, before one of us put the wrong message in the wrong box! LOL!
Re Doctor, I am very fortunate that when I first went to my surgery my old Doctor was busy and I opted for a new one. She has turned out much better than I could have wished for under these circumstances and I do think my regular Doc would not have helped as much as this one.
From the start she had non-patronising empathy and it became clear she knew something of what she was talking about and each development of my condition she has explained it, absolutely amazing! If feel that we do have a new wave of medics coming through now in UK and the old, male dominated, stuffy, outdated, up their own .... attitude is crumbling and being swept aside.
For my part (I am feeling quite up, even though I have still some bad buzzing!) I am reading everything everyone has put and going to retire from the grind, working to produce someone else's dollars! I hope to become a self employed part-time (but available anytime) freelance counsellor to individuals and business (I'll definitely make sure they know how to treat staff!) and charge them more to subsidise the workers. In the end more men need educating! (In many things not just this).
Mind you, some days I feel like curling up and just doing nothing, but sleep. Fortunately, these days are gradually becoming few and far apart, I know it takes time and I take that, in itself, as a little positive which helps.
Good discussing things, speak ahain no doubt.
Have a nice evening!
Regards,
David

You, me and others here are or will be advisors one way or another and what I didn't realise in the beginning was that it is therapy in itself! Tina is one who is still in a bad dark place, but has offered encouragement on the odd occassion, when she arrived she was really in a very BAD and DARK place.
One all of us miss is Melanie 00616 - terrible isn't it, we're all numbers. "I'm not a number, I'm a man!" - 1960's series starring Patrick McGoohan as 'The Prisoner' written by someone, possibly, on a cocktail of meds, prescribed or others!
Mel was deleted from the whole site because someone, who adds nothing to this forum, did not like what she said in advise to someone else! I am going to contact the administrators/mediators and ask them to reconsider as she was (and is still being) so helpful. I have her email address and pass it to those if Mel so wishes). So, all this site has done is removed her from here, but she is still helping via email!
Maybe, I'll start a campaign that'll keep our minds of our own condition!

David

oh really i was wondering where mel had gone i think she had commented on a few of my things. thats awful that someone would do that and even more awful that the administrators would remove her. she is here to help or get advice for herself not be kicked out and feel alone! i hope she can come back!

Re Mel, I have sent the powers that be at patient.info a request to reinstate her, although whether they respond or not is another matter. Sometimes some people feel it below them to talk or discuss things with minions!
Have not had any kind of a reply from the site so, I think I'll post what I wrote to them, maybe drum up support?
Regards,
David
