Skin irritation after showering

Posted , 2 users are following.

Up until I left secondary school i had no problems with showering. Unfortunately for years now I haven't been able to shower, I can only take baths. I've tried reducing the time I spend in the shower, adjusting the flow so that it isn't so harsh on my skin, I've turned down the temperature, tried moisturising right after I get out and changed my body wash ( I've tried Sanex for sensitive skin and hypersensitive skin and Simple). None of these things have worked.

I do have tactile sensitive skin, but as I said it is a relatively new issue. It feels like I've got thousands of ants crawling underneath my skin.

Alyce, this is something that may be a symptom of other problems so you really should get professional advice from your doctor. There are lots of medications that they can suggest. Although the problem seems to be your skin, it may be something else and you may need tests.. Especially as this has been going on for years.

The only thing I can suggest is using a body wash called Cerave. Then use the Cerave body cream.

The most important thing is to see your doctor.
