Skin nerve pain ... extremely painful ... surgery to resolve?

I am a 33 year old male. I had a skin condition (Molluscum) that I was treated with cryotherapy numerous times back in 2009. I was over treated and suffered 2nd to 3rd degree burns. Since then, I have had severe nerve pain. I was frozen in many spots, however only have nerve pain in the areas that were repeatedly frozen. The pain is very similar to post-herpatic neuralgia.

I have seen doctor after doctor and tried many different treatments. Since I have had zero success, I have been considering having the skin with the nerve damage surgically removed. It is on my lower abdomen.  I do have loose skin from weight loss that should allow to the wound to be closed easily,  The area damaged is about 4" by 3".  Has anyone ever heard of a procedure like this being performed?

I am open to other ideas to help with the pain as well. If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

I'm sorry you are having nerve pain. Its not pleasant and I know. I'm sorry I can't comment on surgery procedures, but I do know some things can help with nerve pain, like medication, relaxation and avoiding stress. I hope someone can answer your question soon. Good luck.
