Skin painful to touch but nothing visible

My teenage daughter has an area of skin on her upper back that is painful to touch, even lightly (for example clothes touching it), but the skin there looks completely normal - no sign of redness or a rash. What could cause this? I thought it might be shingles (she had chicken pox when younger), but that usually causes a rash.

HI. I’ve had a similar sensation in my leg for the last few weeks I’ve been suffering from anxiety and wondered if that was part of it? It’s really worrying me that it could be something else

I have this same thing. Its on the surface of my skin and hurts most when I rub gently. When I apply pressure or rub with some pressure - no pain.

There is nothing there.. no rash or redness.. nothing.! Its on the inside of my breast which gave me some anxiety but on the skin only ..nothing internally hurts..

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I have the exact same thing on my arm; so sensitive to touch- my shirt rubbing on it is painful.

    just curious

    Thank you!

Could the cause be / have been a stomach issue (as it seems to be in my case). same problem, worsening during the day (I have good weeks and even months though).

Its possible that its a hair blockage situation. I mean that it could be a hair ingrown issue.
