Skin peeling

I had bunion removal op about a month ago. The skin is itching and peeling. Does anyone have a remedy for this. Thanks

    Hi Emmie,

    Nothing to worry about all part of the healing process after surgery has disturbed the skin tissue it peels and new skin grows to replace it and the itching is a sign its healing. Savlon or E45 itch relief cream will moisturise the skin and help it heal as well as stopping the itching. The inflammation should of gone down by now and the foot should look more normal shape but if like my wife who only had pins in it still looks like a slight bunion but no pain. Friends of hers had had a plate put in which appeared to restore the joint to completely normal looking but theirs took longer to heal.
