    HI George,

Maybe you could try some audio guided meditation (check youtube) or some soft music before bed?

Use dim lighting before bed. Read to make your mind tired and/or exercise shortly before bed. I find exercising before bed makes me the most tired.

Don't use your laptop right before bed.

Alternatively, if gets really bed you could ask your doc for sleeping tablets. Valerian root is a natural alternative.

Cammomile tea is supposed to be calming. You could try that  or a warm drink of milk before bed.

Try burning some lavendar oil or putting some lavendar flowers in your pillow.

Also, try writing out your thoughts before bed and remember that you can look at them the next day. Finish by writing out some positive some (even everything you got done in the day).

Hope some of these help. I think the exercise one has been the most helpful for me.

Let me know how you get on!

OK best of luck with it. Let us know how you get on with it!

Also, it's very important to try not to consciously think "I've got to sleep. I've got to sleep. I've got to sleep. . . What time is it now?"/calculate how many hours of sleep you'll have. Even just focus on your breathing or something to help you nod off. x

That's not too bad George, you're still getting 6-8 hours sleep then. But you should maybe try (gradually) getting to bed earlier. I always find I feel more refreshed if I go to sleep at about half 10 rather than 1 o clock for example. Even if I get the same amount of sleep.

Speaking of which, I am going to go to sleep now. Goodnight. I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight. Chat tomorrow if you are on,
