Sleep after getting off Amitriptyline

Anyone have trouble sleeping / falling asleep after stopping Amitryptiline?

i know it is sleep aid, so naturally when stopping your body has to adjust.. how long will it take before my sleep gets better?

    I have been taking it for 3 years and I did notice that when I missed a few days my sleep wasn't as good. Early on I experienced some wild dreams if I had forgotten a dose.

    It's never affected my sleep when I've stopped taking it so i can't help you with that one..

    i was on for 2 months, have been off for 11 months and the insomnia is debilitating. from what ive seen, for most people it takes a few weeks to several months to get back to normal

    I've been off it since Sept. I've has awful insomnia for about three weeks. I'm lucky to get about two hours sleep max.
