Hi guyshoping for some help

So i have suffered from gealth anxiety on and off for years i had a bad bout of depression last year and was given fluoxetine.

It did what it daid on the tin and the depression went away so did most if the anxiety but a new symptom came...

So i wake up during the night at least 3 bights out of a wk sometimes more and basically i wake up in a big panic with chest pain and a racing heart then i feel like im shivering and really sick.

Iv had an ecg, a 24 hr holter monitor and an echo all came back normal.

The drs of course are putting it down to anxiety but i really dont feel anxious at all.

Can any1 shed any light on this does it sound like sleep apnea?

Thanku xxx

Did you stop fluoxetine suddenly without tapering? Then thats the withdrawal. Google for how to taper.

I have sleep apnea and this is exactly what happens. The problem is once you have a past anxiety diagnosis you become an easy patient for your doctor! You go in with a complaint and they tell you it's anxiety and blow you off. You have sleep apnea I promise. Seek a second opinion because it usually gets worse without treatment.
