Sleep apnoea?

Hello,

So for the past 8 months or so my sleep quality has been extremely poor. I wake up horribly fatigued, congested and with headaches. I have post nasal drip almost 24/7 and I can feel thick mucus at the back of my throat constantly which is really affecting my breathing. Nothing helps with this.

I have tried nasal sprays, steroids, antibiotics.

I am pretty sure it is giving me sleep apnoea and this constant fatigue is making life difficult.

Is there anything I can do to help sleep or is it worth asking for a sleep study?

The doctor has suggested waiting for the ENT first but my next appointment is 3 months away. It's making me really depressed and I think if I could just sleep, my mood would lift 10 fold..

Any advice please?

Thanks. Going to book another doctors appoitment and ask for one. I swear he thinks I am just being a hypochondriac. Last time he said wait for the ENT and gave me Sertraline for the depression but trying to explain it was the constant poor sleep getting me down was falling on deaf ears rolleyes

Sinus infection/problems can really make sleep difficult, and/or even if you do sleep, exhaustion still persists. Have your tried visiting earthclinc for some natural solutions? Nasal washes they share there help me. Sinus junk can be pretty debilitating and make you feel horrible. Constant fatique is now the number one indicator of a sinus infection so says my doc. I'm going to a chiropractor for nasal drainage adjustment, doing nasal washes, taking vitamin c and zinc and crossing my fingers. My heart goes out to you. This is tough stuff. I will keep you posted on my progress and I hope you do the same.
