Sleeping

Hi,
I've been on Propanolol 80mg for my mirgraines which have worked very well. One issue with them is that I can wake up during the night and I have great difficulty in getting back to sleep. This results in me being quite tired during the day, as I drive 45mins to get to the office and sometimes 4-5 hours if I'm on site then it was a concern.
I saw the doctor on Friday and he suggested trying Pizotifen, he told me they can cause drowiness but if I take it at night then I should be OK by the morning.
I've been reading through the experiences here and I'm not too sure about taking them now, I haven't been to the pharmacy with the prescription and I'm unsure whether to bother.

I use to take Pizotifen for about a year but I gained a stone and still had about 6 migraines, doesn't sound many but for me that and the weight gain was enough! I thought there must be something else. I did feel more tired than usual but suppose it's what you get use to. I would say at first I felt very tired.
I would try and change the times that you are taking the tables?

I have started on Pizotifen and am pleased to say it started working that night as i can have migraines for 8 weeks on thte trot with no break the only thing with it i found it has increased my appitite rapidly and im sleeping better but I don't want to weight gain either and I am a little moody but i think in at that middle cycle of my monthlys so will have to wait to see if my normal mood swings are just that or that of the tablet i'm on 1.5 mg at the monent.
is there anything else i should be aware of with taking this tablet
thanks all.

I guess it's what you can deal with, the migraines or being careful on your eating habits?
Good luck
