Sleeping a real problem? Any advice? Go back to GP?

I have osteoarthritis and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia three years ago. Along with pain, one of my main symptoms has been problems with sleeping. I am on 50mg of Nortriptyline every evening and this has helped with my sleep, until the last few weeks. Recently, I have had some bad nights where I have been awake for hours and, of course, then felt terrible the next day, with more pain. It's not pain that keeps me awake, it's simply that I just can't get to sleep.
Is sleep a problem for other Fibromyalgia sufferers? Has anything helped? I'd be grateful for any suggestions. I'm wondering whether to go back to my GP, although I would rather not.

Hi there, yes sleep is a major issue of having fibromyalgia. My pain normally wakes me up. But I also have a hard time getting to sleep. I take Ambien 10mg which knocks me out but I don't sleep for long. Prior to that I was taking Ambien Cr 12.5mg that knocked me out and kept me asleep but my insurance will not longer pay for it and it's so expensive so I have to deal with the 10mg.

I take nortripine 25 mg at night and if I feel it’s not going to work I take a Valium that seems to help me relax and go to sleep 💤
