Sleeping and panic attacks

So the past week or so I’ve been having a tough time falling asleep, 15mins ago I woke up feeling really heavy and tingly and also didn’t feel real so I panicked and my body started shaking and I felt so heavy that I felt like I wasn’t in control. Can someone help? I’m so tired.

Is Celexa causing this? sad

Ok I don't know if it's celexa or not I was prescribed the drug but I refuse to take it.. I'm just not a fan of medication.. but I have definitely felt this way before feeling tingling and heavy and shaking and I got cold too.. and sometimes I could be sleep and wake up randomly to a panic attack when that happened I tapped my cheek using my pointer finger and middle finger .. yes I know sounds weird but it helps and while your tapping your face either zone out.. think of absolutely nothing clear your mind as much as u can and u will start to calm down ..watching YouTube helped me with my anxieties as well .. hope this kind of helps ????

Thank you so much for the reply. Could you give me some videos that helped you? I’m trying to find some. I actually tried that after I read this. It helped a little bit but better than nothing. Thank you so much

Sounds like a panic attack. Very similar to some of the ones I’ve had. Rapid heart rate and shaking is the most common in mine.

I’ve felt like I can’t lift my feet. My knees lock and I shake. I try hard to walk it off but cannot.

It’s better for a cure without a pill but if your prescribed take them. Know that whatever caused it was simply from your train of thought and it’s all your mentality. Bad sleep can also cause a lousy wake up routine so intend for a good 8 Hour Sleep. How I do it is by watching funny videos on YouTube but there are other ways like listening to music, reading a book, etc. it’s how one feels comfortable

Try to keep a fear of something off your thoughts. A panic attack is really fear induced and if you think your gonna have one you will. There really self induced and are really all in your head. When you wake up go about your day and think who you might see or what you might do today. Of course after Sleep one might wake up wanting more and in that case you should if you have nothing to do but if you wake up needing to go to school or work it’s better to wake up getting ready and doing something right away.

Much hopes keep a positive mindset hope some of this helps

Thank you for replying. Yes at the time I’m not even sure what was going through my mind I just opened my eyes and felt super heavy and panicked.

Trying to stay positive that this won’t last forever

Have you tried Mindfulness, that may help you, I have a warm glass of drinking chocolate, that seems to help me to sleep. Hot Milk and malt drinks can also have a relaxing effect

You could also try Mindfulness that may help you fall to sleep

Can you tell me if mindfulness was uncomfortable at the beginning? I feel like my body is having a hard time relaxing.
