Sleeping issues

I wake up every nite around 3:30 am w/ pain and restlessness. I am hoping Humira will help alleviate this for me . Does anyone else suffer from disturbed sleeping😫

I don't think there's a night when I don't wake up at some silly time or other. I never used to but I've been like this for a few years now. A bad night can be waking up every couple of hours( or even less) such as 1am..3am..5am.. which obviously can leave you so tired during the day. I don't necessarily wake up due to pain though so not really sure what the cause is.

I try and stay away from caffeine and I do drink sleep time tea every nite before bed . I do take time realeased pain meds  twice a day. I Am hoping that once Humira gets into my system hopefully my pain will subside some and  I won’t need any additional pain meds .  Are you on Humira? If so how do you like it ?

No I'm not on Humira. When first diagnosed it was Methotrexate then I went on to hydroxychloroquine(plaquenil). Just over a year ago I was told I was in remission so I made the decision to stop meds. So far apart from a few flares I seem to be managing well enough so hopefully can stay off. I am on other meds so it's difficult sometimes to work out what might be causing which symptoms. As someone mentioned I too thought constantly waking up through the night might be a getting older thing. I'm 63. I have given up caffeine altogether. I don't eat or drink anything after about 8pm. I do read every night though and I'm not sure if that's a bad thing...it certainly makes me sleepy so I do nod off...but unfortunately keep waking.

I Awake up 2 to 4 times a night due to pain in my shoulders, can’t lay on my sides or stomach but sometimes I wake up restless with no apparent pain. Don’t know what causes that either!

I wake up several times a night too but I never thought it was from my arthritis but just because I was older. I know most nights my foot starts hurting and I know this sounds weird but even the sheets rubbing against my foot if I lay on my side causes pain.

Hi, it is very rare for me to sleep through the night. I used to think it was due to menopause but think that general anxiety plays a part so not totally sure of cause - could be number of reasons?

What has helped me to get off to sleep and have a good quality sleep is herbal drinks specifically to aid sleep, golden milk (drink made with coconut milk and tumeric see you tube) and spraying a lavender oil based spray on pillows before hand. I plan to introduce other aspects to my sleep routine which includes no screen time (tv, computer, mobile phone) an hour before going to bed and meditating instead during this time.

Does any one else have any ideas?
