I've certainly never heard of sleeping pills helping. I've had this awful illness for over 30 years and can't honestly say I've found anything that really helps.

    best regards

sleeping pills in general will help you relax and sleep. There are meds you can take that will help your MD symptoms. What meds are you currently taking for MD?

Sleeping pills may help you relax and if you also have tinnitus as a symptom may help with sleep. My doctor has me on a calcium blocker called Verapamil and I've been on it as an "experiment" for over a year and I have not had any vertigo episodes. I don't know why more doctors are not sharing this information. I've had MD for over 20 years with all the usual symptoms, hearing loss, foggy mind, vertigo attacks, tinnitus, ear fullness, etc. Anyway, I've tried just about everything and 2 things that have worked are the Verapamil and upper cervical chiropractic. It is a tricky condition and not all things may work for everyone, but I've been in desperate times and have been willing to try everything but surgery. Hope this helps and good luck.
