I have recently had an ileostomy due to my ulcerative colitis in June.
is it normal to have slight bleeding and mucas out of my bum ? I also keep getting the urge to poo is this standard ?

Sounds like a norm to me. If the procedure is what i think it is. Then yes its normal to have short intestinal issues. Every time someone has surgery, there is a likelihood that in the newness of recovery, you will experience issues. But these should absolve over time.
