I too have fatty liver am trying to lose weight and cut carbs and sugar to sort it out.  My liver function blood tests are fine but having them re-checked in October.  My GP said there is no such thing as mild fatty liver, you either have it or you don't but we can help it heal.  I'm just glad I know about it as it was found by chance when I had a scan for something else.  How was yours diagnosed?

I think the implication of it being mild is by how big it is the man doing the scan said only slightly enlarged when I asked gp about it he said that would imply small increase in the amount of fat in it. It was diagnosed after id had gallbladder removed.

That's interesting, on my scan report it didn't mention enlargement, maybe that's why my GP wasn't concerned about it, I could have had it for years, the only way mine was found was because I got scanned for possible gallstones as I had a slight mild discomfort (not really a pain) under my right rib which I still get from time to time.  My gallbladder was fine (no gallstones) but a liver cyst was found along with fatty liver.  Cyst thankfully turned out to be benign but I'm now addressing my Type 2 diabetes and fatty liver.  I didn't realise that fatty liver is part of the metabolic syndrome and tends to go hand in hand with T2 diabetes, high BP, high cholesterol etc
