In a short arm cast for reinjury of a chronic tfcc issue. Was told that a sling isn't necessary but if it helps, use it. Am at day 7 and any usage at all causes joint swelling. Should I just use the sling all day? Or is that overkill.

For tfcc tears a sling will also help limit the rotation of your arm - rather than having a long arm cast.
