Small blister on head of penis

Posted , 17 users are following.

About 4 weeks ago I noticed a single very small blister on the head of my penis. The single small blister has stayed for 4 weeks now with some slight change of healing but not much and I resisted the temptation to pop it.  There is no itching or any strange sensations.  I've had a full STD panel and blood work done and everything was negative. I'm 36 years old married for almost 10 years and this has never happened before. Can you please advice on what this might be and what steps I need to take.  Thank you.

Well, husband had several a few on penis head area and several on scrotum. He had his second outbreak about three months ago(been a long time between). They look fluid filled and the one on penis bleed when opened. At first dr said herpes but hubby says no(had history of affair with a known carrier). He is on alot of meds but same for years. If it happens again going to observe which meds he is on. They look just like a cluster of herpes I saw on here. clear fluid filled blisters.

    Hello,

Painful, tiny clusters of small blisters may indicate genital herpes. Other ulcers or sores on the penis, whether painful or painless, could be a symptom of syphilis. Rarely, scabies can present as bumps under the skin in the pubic region, and small blisters could also be caused by allergies or yeast.

Wash gently under the foreskin. Nappy rash cream or hydrocortisone ointment may be recommended. Infection – the doctor may prescribe antifungal or anti-inflammatory creams, oral antibiotics and pain-killing drugs. Try soaking in a warm bath to relieve painful or difficult urination (dysuria).
