Small Bowel Obstruction

I went to ER and was admitted from extreme abdominal pain. Turns out I had a small bowel obstruction. They gave me an NG tube (no fun at all). You have to be awake for this as they push a tube through the nose into the small intestine. This stays in place for 3-4 days as the sludge from your intestine is removed. I had pain meds during all this, but was wide awake for most of the time. You're not allowed to eat or drink the entire time. I'm back to eating regularly but eat smaller meals. I've lost about 8 lbs. but that's a good thing. I'm interested in feedback if anyone else has had this issue. I believe it was caused from an extreme physical activity I did, lifting and twisting my abdominal with gallons of water from a lake. I had tight waisted pants on. I've been ok for about 6 months and am super careful about tight waisted pants!
