Small cuts/tears on penis when erect? Help please

Posted , 2 users are following.

hi wondering if anyone can help me, im 26 and masturbate regularly but when i do most of the time the same cuts/tears open in the same place this will cause some stinging sensation, after masturbation it will sting but only take a couple days to heal, when healed you can still see the outline of the cuts, these can also end up to be itchy too, i dont have any other problems but just these stingy tears whenever i get hard. i have tried using a fungal cream which has clotrizomole in it but it hasnt seem to worked, can anyone help me? Can also say my penis is quite dry when i masturbate but this isnt the cause of the tears/cuts, even with lube they still crack in same place? added a photo this time, will appreciate any helpimage

Hi you could have balanitis have you been to your doctor? that's probably the best thing to do as it hasn't improved any after using antifungal cream. I wouldn't use any soaps just wash with water for now and a little moisturiser. I think your foreskin is a little bit tight you have some scarring there so you will need to have it treated as you foreskin will get even tighter if not.

hello thanks for your reply, i havent been to the doctor yet i was hoping to treat it at home but because i wasnt sure what it was i wasnt sure what to put on so i tried anti fungal cream for a couple days then stopped, i use regular mens shower gel to wash in the shower i didnt know this affected it, shall i try the cream again daily and maybe use a moisturiser too? thanks again for replying.

Hi Lee if your using shower gel makes sure to wash off completely after as it can irritate the foreskin you could use a emollient wash instead it would be a bit more gentle and a little moisturiser if the skin is dry would be no harm. If it is fungal it can take some time to clear several weeks I would use the antifungal cream twice a day but really I would recommend you consult your doctor as the little cuts will scare your foreskin and cause phimosis eventually.

okay thanks, i will go to see the doctor eventually i just would prefer to try treat it properly at home first, have seen someone else with the same cuts and they said the doctor just prescribed some cream, hopefully my antifungal cream and moisturiser will help. Can i put moisturiser on top of the antifungal cream though?

That's fine Lee see how it goes I know it can be difficult to get an appointment at the moment they would give you the appropriate cream something on prescription.

How did the other guy get on did the cream work for him?

No I wouldn't use the moisturiser on top of the antifungal given it an hour or two between using. Let me know how you get on 👍🏼

yeah i understand, well the other guys thread went on for some time none of the creams were working and he was told to go see a urologist and a few other people to seek help. im really hoping moisturising and this cream will help although seeing as the cuts heal and just open up again as soon as i get an erection i struggle to see how it will ever heal properly but will carry on as i am for a week or two and if no results ill go to the doctor, thanks for your help mate

It can be very difficult to heal those small cuts it's a vicious circle with them. see how it goes the cream the doctor would prescribe would be better it may have a steroid in it witch would help. if you don't improve then definitely go see the doctor. You may need to consider having a circumcision in the future if it doesn't improve.

so the cuts healed but i seem to get some redness and small what looks like burns, similiar to the cuts and also my penis is still dry and red after masturbation, i think ill continue to use the cream and maybe start moisturising before bed

Yeah be careful they could open again, I would keep using the cream as it could take several weeks. and the moisturiser would be good to keep using even when everything is healed

so the cuts are still here, as you can see there is a large one to the left and then there is quite a few little ones, this just comes and goes regularly when i masturbate, sometimes maybe not so much and then recently it was like this, do i continue to use canesten? can someone help, also not sure how i create a new post on here so commenting back on this old post. thanks

Hi Lee, sorry to see you are still having some trouble your photo is not great but you penis looks quite sore and inflamed still I'm sure it quite painful. Have you seen the doctor yet if not its time you do see them and have it checked don't be embarrassed or worried its quite common to have this. you need something stronger than canesten to treat it as you have it a while now. Is the foreskin getting tighter? I'd use a good moisturiser something like Cerave I find E45 can dry out the skin sometimes. See what the doctor says and let me know how you get on. If things don't improve you may need to consider having a circumcision?

my penis is only sore and painful when the cuts open, apart from that its totally normal, the cuts heal quick and its fine but as soon as i masturbate they open, sometimes only 1 but recently a few opened and its sore and tender to touch. i havent seen the doctor yet i really wanted it to get better from treating it at home, its annoying because if i dont masturbate my penis is fine so it takes my mind off it, then when i think maybe its healed now and masturbate im back to square one, ive been on and off canesten. ill use it a few days then like i say because its not hurting i stop doing it, a few weeks ago it was sore and there was cuts so i used canesten for a week and then when i masturbated it was fine i thought they had healed but after a few times they opened again, my foreskin isnt tight at all, not even when im erect but something must be causing the cuts to open maybe when the skin goes over my penis tip? i know ill have to go doctor but i just think even if he gives me a different cream how will it stop the cuts from opening, i dont want to be told i need circumcision either, this is really getting me down and really hoped it was something i could treat and fix at home, i have type 1 diabetes and think that also has something to do with it because i was having problems with my penis before i was diagnosed to my blood sugar levels were not being controlled, thank you for your help i appreciate it

Hay Lee I know what it's like I had those little cuts as well and my foreskin became fragile and even having a erection it would open up again. In your case you have something going on I think Canesten isn't strong enough and you will probably need to continue treatment for several weeks with something a little stronger without any breaks in between. if you don't get on top of it now those little cuts will eventually scar the foreskin and it will become tight and worst case scenario you would end up with phimosis. your diabetes could be a contributing Factor as well is it under control now? it can cause problems with the foreskin. so I would encourage you to have it checked out with your doctor

how did you end up treating your cuts? yeah i understand that, ive had it for a while but on and off so maybe one time ill get one tiny cut and then not much another time then another time ill

get a few cracks/cuts, i will have to go to the doctor

and yes my diabetes is all under control now, have regular check ups and everything is more than good my doctors say so yeah

Hey that's great the diabetes is ok maybe it's time for a check-up again 🙂

In my case I had an underling cause lichen sclerosus it caused the skin to become very fragile and have 'discoloration eventually I had a circumcision.
