Small cyst but over active bladder as well (apparently)!

Hi all, Many thanks for all your help with my earlier message about first appointment.  The specialist was very impressed with my diary of events and was very concerned about trying to help me get back to normal as she could see from that the pain was having a big impact on my daily life.  The not so good news is the cyst was only small (and so insignificant as far as she was concerned) but she thinks I may be experiencing over active bladder problems.  Along with my heavy period problems she is going to get me referred to a gynae/urology specialist (so yet another appt to wait for) but has started me on some treatment in the interim.  Just wanted to say how fantastic you all were with your responses and I really appreciated the help and advise.  Hope all goes well with any of you having surgery, or just having had surgery.  I will now be moving onto another discussion group to find out what advice etc there is about OAB.

    Hi,

Great news regarding your cyst. Your specialist seems to be on the ball which is fantastic.  I do know that prior to my procedures(laparasocpy and d&c as I had two cysts) I seemed to be spending  lot of time in the bathroom.  From what I have been told this is a common side effect.

Best of luck and I hope that you are back to full health soon.

Still have some gynae issues that they are going to look at - which is why I am being referred to a gynae/urology specialist.  Have been looking for helpful tips about the other problem so will be as well prepared as I was this time round when I go to see the specialist.
