Don't worry about the second scan as may be in a different place/done differently so get a better picture.

thanks debbie, sounds like these cysts are very common , i always worry about the big C word , but having no  symptons ,might be less than 3cm in which case i think the cyst is just monitored, hope you get your scan soon, im waiting for  a definite answer as the sonographer wasnt too sure if he had seen a small cyst ,so hopefully the second scan will be more precise.

NHS choices website figures - "Ovarian cysts are common. It is estimated that nearly all women who still have monthly periods (from puberty through to the menopause) and about 1 in 5 women who have been through the menopause, will have one or more ovarian cysts."

hi taz , had a blood test this morning , i think its to check for any abnormalities in the cyst , thats if they still find one after my scan this afternoon, did you have any discomfort from your cysts, ? i have no discomfort at all .

I didn't/and haven't at the moment, back pain but my consultant is unsure if related as I also have wear and tear in my spine, they were found by accident and symptoms worked out retrospectivly. Had a blood test too, it is common
