Back during Easter weekend I went to a cabin in the mountains with my wife. The hot tub Jacuzzi was not clean, and the water was greenish. My wife convinced me it was ok and said it was algae and harmless. I say this as background and will come back to it. 2 days upon our return home I had a little sore pimply bump in the corner of my eye. It went away a few days later. The next week, a new bump appeared on the eye bag, as shown in the photos. It too went away within a few days. Next week a bump on the lid appeared on the OPPOSITE eye. I went to my eye doctor who said it was caused by clogged tear ducts. He gave me a week of Doxycycline and told me they could do a procedure to clean my ducts but it was not covered by insurance - $1,000 USD! I passed on that one. Plus he could not explain how or why the bumps could appear on EITHER eye. However, almost weekly I get a new bump that is a little painful and goes away after 2 to 3 days. A few weeks ago I went to my dermatologist for a 2nd opinion. He did a culture to test for bacteria. He came back and said the culture was negative, so he said it was probably just perioral dermatitis, or possible rosacea. He gave me some cream and a 50mg prescription for doxycycline...and told me it was safe to take FOREVER. Yesterday I got a new bump but this time it is on the side of my nose just under my eye brow. I am worried by this time, as two doctors seem to have no clue what it is. If it were on my foot I would dismiss it most likely - but this is my face...and near my eyes. Doctors guessing is not making me feel confident in the diagnosis or prognosis. I also don't want to just live on doxycycline for the rest of my days. I have GI issues already, so destroying the good bacteria in my gut seems reckless. Also seems like it could have side effects like thrush and bacterial resistance over time. I mentioned the hot tub originally because I thought maybe I caught a staph infection. But after taking doxy I would assume it would have been killed. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? I am wondering if it is a reaction to something I am putting on my face or hair, or if it could be viral or autoimmune or allergy? So far it is always a single little pimple type bump with a single white head. Since it has appeared all over my eye area and now the upper side of my nose near the eye, it is not a stye.

WHAT'S PUZZLING ME IS THAT IT SEEMS YOU AND YOUR WIFE ENGAGED IN THE SAME ACTIVITIES WHILE AT THE CABIN AND SHE HAS NO SIDE EFFECTS. MAYBE YOU SHOULD GET AN EXTENSIVE ALLERY TEST. OUTSIDE OF THE GREEN WATER, IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU DID OR ATE THAT WAS NEW TO YOU??? THE FACT THAT THE SPOTS KEEP REAPPEARING IN DIFFERENT LOCATIONS IS ALARMING.MAY THE DERMATOLOGIST CAN TEST THE BUMPS.....AT LEAST THEN THEY WON'T GUESS WHAT THEY ARE... HOPE YOU GET BETTER SOON.

If you can’t get hold of it I would suggest applying apple cider vinegar to the area; although the DMSO is a better option as it tackles the root cause- something that mainstream medicine never does.
