Small purple circular spot on side of forehead

I have a small circular purple spot on side of forehead and I wondered what it could be?

Dr not sure, thinks it might be a burst capillary?

    How long have you had it Fred? If you have had it all your life its probably a naevus but if it has developed later in life then yes, your doctor is probably right about it being a tiny burst capillary just under the skin. Not a problem if you only have the one, but if you get more and more anywhere on your body you should see your doctor for a blood test.

      Hi, not had it all my life, Dr asked me that question too and I wasn't sure so I said I'd noticed it about 8 months ago.
