Small Sore on Shaft of Penis

Posted , 6 users are following.

So I noticed a small sore on the shaft of my penis last night.  Of course, anytime something like this happens, one tends to think the worst.  I am hoping it's nothing more than an ingrown hair, but the fact that I recently started dating someone new after an extremely long relationship has me second guessing.  We've been sexually active with one another for the past two months.  No other symptoms or lesions, just the one.  Hoping someone can set my mind at ease.

I should add that I have had a lot of oral sex with this new partner and have never noticed anything out of the norm with her girlie bits - nor have I ever in the two months we've been sexually active had any sores in my mouth.  Just this single small sore where the shaft meets the scrotum.

Looks like an ingrown hair to me.

I certainly hope so.  I've had them before, but usually I can see the hair under the skin when this happens.  I guess what has me most paranoid is that I'm with a new partner.  It only hurts to touch (as you would with an ingrown hair) and I can feel a slight bump under the surface.  Can you feel bumps under the surface with herpes or is it just the blister?

I can only feel the blister. I seriously think you're in the clear :-)

Attached are three more pics I took, post-shave so I could inspect the area a bit better.  A bit more clear and close-up.  Still look like nothing?
