Small sores around corona of the glans

Hi. The corona of my glans has been burning for two weeks or so. At first I thought it was from friction. But today, small sores appeared at the edges of the corona. There was no bumps or pimples or anything out of the ordinary before, only some redness, and a small quantity of white flakes that would appear and roll off if rubbed. Before the sores appeared, I thought this might just be a kind of yeast infection from having sex with a woman and then having to leave pretty quick for work right after and not having had time to shower. I don't know what this could be anymore. Getting some testing done tomorrow, but not everything will get tested for and I'd like some help to eliminate possibilities.
Thanks! I'm including a photo of the sores.

Also, I'd like to add that I've been trying a topical mix of coconut oil and teatree oil for a couple of days. Seemed like it was helping, but I didn't use it yesterday in case I got swabbed today (I didn't), and the sores only appeared after I washed my penis in the shower. I might have washed it a bit too roughly. They seemed to be doing better this morning when I woke up. But also, waking up without having used the homemade cream, there was a very thin white film on my glans, which seems to support my suspicion of fungal infection. I went to the grocery store and bought some Canesten cream as well. I'll try that at least until I receive my test results. What I got tested for today:
What I wish I could get tested for:
If it doesn't get better, I'll have to find a way to go see a doctor. Apparently it takes about two weeks for Canesten to cure a fungal infection, and it's about the same amount of time my other test results are supposed to come back within.

I advise to hold off self treating with the canesten cream. The skin looks broken. I made a similar mistake applying canesten for a week to broken skin on the head of the glans and I thought it was getting better but after stopping a week later things got way worse. It all crusted up and even more layers came off. Be careful.

Ooof, I wish I had seen this earlier! Did it stay broken or did it repair before you stopped? I've been using the Canesten, and it does appear to have gotten a lot better. I was planning on using it for a whole two weeks, as suggested on their site and on their paper "guide", and then wanted to switch back to coconut oil for a while to help the skin heal. The sores appear to be pretty healed now. They are neither raw nor scabbed, and there's only a very slight darker shade left where the sores were.
Did yours end up healing? What did you have to do in the end? And what do you think the issue was?
I'll come back and give an update again later for sure, whether the problem is solved or not.

Maybe your issue will heal up from the canesten. In my case I had a white circle which I thought was fungus appear on broken skin from a friction burn. I decided to self treat with canesten and it did appear better and the white circle disappeared but I stopped after a week. I was going on a lot of walks with no underwear during and after that time which might have aggravated things under the foreskin due to the penis moving around a lot. My doctor sort of confused me saying this is normal when I saw him and he said to just wait it out for the body to heal. This was days before heaps of layers came off and it was super painful but I was thinking doctor said to wait, maybe this is OK and the body is in the process of healing. It eventually got a lot better but then went downhill soon after. I actually have multiple penile issues going on. Now 7 months later all the pains are mild but they were intense in the past. Being too embarrassed to go to the doctor at the start has resulted in multiple visits later on to doctors, Dermatologists, urologist.

I'm really sorry to read that, man. Must be really difficult to deal with. If you have a partner, I hope they are understanding, and I hope that the issue itself finally gets resolved soon.

Situation resolved!
It seems that indeed, my issue was caused by a yeast infection of sorts, and using Canesten for a week and a half worked.
Initial symptom: penis corona burned after masturbation.
More developed symptoms: balanitis, with increasing burning sensation, and later on if I passed my finger on the skin below the corona, white flakes would roll off.
Worst phase of it: small sores or fissures appeared for a day on the edges of my corona, and a very thin, white-ish film, appeared on my glans in parts where it was covered by my foreskin.
Actions taken: At first, I tried to mix coconut oil with a couple drops of tee tree oil, and it helped a little bit but not enough. I suspect this might be because the tee tree oil wasn't concentrated enough, but didn't want it to be too concentrated and cause damage, so I didn't try a higher concentration.
After a couple days of mild but insufficient improvements, I bought a tube of 1% Canesten (for external usage), and started applying it in the evening and the morning. I applied it for a week and a half, and then was diligent on washing my penis twice a day and drying it thoroughly, placing it over a fan even to insure that no humidity would go on it.
The issue is now resolved. There no longer is any burning, and I regularly swipe my finger on the skin around the base of the glans to see if there are any flakes, and they are gone. I remain careful in washing and drying my penis, and I've had sex with no issues so far.
Life lesson: I will make sure to wash my penis after having sex, especially if I have to dress up and go about my busy day. Should be okay to lay in bed and let the fluids dry, but situations where it gets to stay wet for an extended period of time are particularly risky. One risk factor that needs to be mentioned: that time, the woman I had sex with was on her period. There was no visible blood on my penis, but the quality of her fluids might have messed with my penile flora and skin pH and contributed to me developing a fungal infection.
Highly hypothetical idea: I talked about it with the woman I had sex with to warn her that something was wrong with me. She didn't experience any troubles, herself, but also got tested just in case. Since she didn't experience any issues, her vagina flora and pH must have protected her. Once my symptoms were gone for long enough for me not to be worried too much, I had sex with her again for her healthy vaginal flora to help restore my penile flora. (I mainly had sex with her for fun, and will again, getting healthy penile flora wasn't the most important reason, lol.)
