Small spot on vulva

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what this is?

It's been painful when I have shaved the area but aside from that I haven't really noticed it.

There is no lump underneath the skin or anything like that it just sometimes feels tight and uncomfortable.

Is this anything to worry about? Can't get a GP appointment until next week so very worried.

Hi, is the spot like a pimple or just flat with inflammation ? Did you notice it before shaving or after shaving ? It could be an ingrown hair. which can than turn to an infected hair follicle.

Hi Kelly, it was like a pimple but then when I accidently shaved over it, it went flat with inflammation and now it looks like a pimple again... I did think it might have been an infected hair follicle as I used coconut oil on the area after shaving which may have clogged up a pore?

yes thats what it looks like more of a pimple that is from a clogged hair follicle. I am sure it looks the same and not worse with no new pimples in the area ?

There are no more pimples in the area, just that one. It looks now like it's smaller than before and it's come to more of a head almost like you would expect a whitehead to look.

is it red or inflamed ? or crusted over ?

      Hi Kelly,

No crusting and it is skin colour. It was inflamed at first (surrounding skin felt sore and tight) but it seems to have gone down significantly. The mark is still there but it does look smaller.

sounds like it is healing, just monitor it and try not aggravate it. it should go away in several days on its own.

Next week is only one week away, if it was something serious the doctor would make an emergency appointment just for you.
