Small swelling on the lip

I have a small swelling in the right lower lip since the beginning of May

I am worry because it does not go and I read that after three weeks we should be worried because often cancer starts to be very small and start as ulcer

It is very small so we have to look close to it to see it. I feel it when I tough it

It is a very small swelling with I think a small hole on top

Sometime on the morning I have a burn.

I have a pain when I touch it

I have seen my GP and I have been referred for cancer test under the two-week scheme and on Mondays a consultant will phone me

I would like to know what it could be and if I need a biopsy
