Smear test help

hi there, im 20 years old and been sexually active for 5 years, obviously i havent been invited for a smear test yet but i am having a lot of pain while having sex and other thing down stairs. im terrified of going to my gp. i dont no what to do its really worryin me sad x

    To be blunt you must get over your fear, make an appointment to see your GP and get your condition investigated smile

    I can only second what Dr Spock says; go to your GP. You've nothing to be embarrased about, remember they see women's bits and pieces all the time. Try and make an appointment with a female gp if that's more comfortable for you.

    If it's worrying you, it's better to get it sorted out isn't it?

    I wasn't sure where to post this I hope its ok on here. I went to get my first smear test from the nurse but it was too painful, I then went back a few months later but was still too painful the nurse then recommended that I should go to my GP to get diazepam to take before I go to get the smear so I did. The third time I went It was still too painful so the doctor is sending me to the hospital to get put under sedation, I am worried there is something really wrong with me please help

    I have an appointment for my first smear test. I'm a virgin and just wondered if the nurse will able to tell that I am one? Really too embarrassed to tell her I am
