So depressed with anal fissure for 2 weeks, please help

hi all, i stumbled across this forum by accident, but boy am i glad i did! I've been diagnosed with an anal fissure after seeing my GP several days after pooing what felt like razor blades and left me sobbing on the loo. It's been 2 weeks since I saw the GP, I was given GNT ointment and told to get any laxative and take the max dose, didn't matter if I got the trots. Since reading this and other forums, I know that if you get the trots it can worsen the fissure, so my daily challenge has been how to keep my poo soft, but not too loose. This has been a trial and error, I've also gone on a more liquid diet, so porridge or a smoothie for breakfast, yoghurt and honey as a snack, soup and maybe a bit of sourdough for lunch, blitzed up canned fruit in juice in the afternoon and a mashed or roasted sweet potato in olive oil with a smattering of cheese for dinner. Sometimes I don't manage all of that, have definitely noticed my lack of calories in feeling woozy! Fissure pain was awful initially, but was improving with GNT ointment and coconut oil, but then a few days ago it suddenly got worse again and my BM in the morning was bad. It's now back to a 10/10 on the pain scale, when I had got it down to about a 3, which I felt so positive about, as you all know this condition ruins your life and is incredibly depressing. Now I have got myself some Sudocrem and Vaseline and am applying those alongside the GNT, all they way through I have a warm bath after each BM, but I'm just at the end of my tether with this. additionally I've been struggling with a thyroid issue and a blood deficiency issue ( both of which I'm convinced contributed to me getting this fissure as I wasn't constipated at all and have never had one before) so am not feeling the best anyway, now dealing with this fissure on top just makes me weep every day. My poor hubby is great at getting me things when I feel top weak and I've been off work, but need to get back to it and just struggling to know if this will ever pass. Please give me stories of hope!! Thank you for reading xx
