hi sorry to message again cross tapered from cit and started 50mg today ..... i have severe anxiety /keep crying and went out with friends today and had to leave as was so anxious and cried i now fear i will never get better and cant go out with friends etc i know sode effects but scared

    You will get better. the dose youre on is a starting dose. No wonder you feel the panic. As you up the dose, provided you are ok with side effects, you could be writing and telling us a different story. Remember you are not weird or abnormal. Mental health is part of our entire health. We need more emphasis by the government as help is far and between. All those promises of billions going into nhs and million to mental health are dreams. Until then, we have this forum to help ourselves. oh its ok to cry. let us know how you are k?

    From what others have said think swapping meds makes things worse initially as you end up going back to square one. How long were you on citalopram for think can take several weeks to really kick in. I didn't have any choice as citalopram making my hair fall out so had to swap. My GP advised to start on 1/2 tablet of Sertraline for week or so then go up to 50mg if you feel OK. Think each dose takes several weeks to settle in. I'm feeling pretty rubbish so think it's swapping meds!
