Would like to share this for those just starting out on Zoloft. Before Zoloft I was on Prozac. I couldn't handle it after 3 weeks. I lost weight cause I couldn't eat anything, was throwing up acid because I wasn't eating, didn't sleep for more than 3 hours a night, and my anxiety was horribly worse than it was before I started the Prozac. In this time, I couldn't leave my house. Looking out my front door gave me panic attacks.

Last week I started Zoloft, 12.5mg. After my experience with Prozac I was scared to death. Did notice some mild side effects the first few days. Now I'm on 25mg and guess what? I was able to leave my house yesterday and go to a craft store and the mall. Was able to leave my house again today and go to the mall again along with running some other errands. Obviously it takes longer than a week for this stuff to truly work, but I'm already seeing improvements and feel a lot better. So moral of this story, stay positive!!

Wow that's good news! I've been on 4 weeks on Thursday , started on 50mg for first 2 weeks then went up to 100mg which I will have been on 2 weeks on Thursday , last few days have felt calmer although a little low but think that's due to still not being able to do all the things I want to lol,,mines for generalised anxiety and panic attacks so hopefully I'm getting somewhere xx

I swear by Zoloft. I was having the same problem. Could not leave my house. I went on 25 mg. and it was like I was a completely different person. My doctor took me off of the meds and I went into withdrawal even thought I tapered. I went into full blown panic. Now I'm back on the meds for a month. The side effects were horrid. But so worth it in the long run.
