Hi all,
So happy to have found this forum! Have been diagnosed since about two months now. The pain i´ve been experiencing for about a year now. Doctor has prescribed me zaldiar for now and it does work. It makes the pain less sharp and I am able to do my daily routine. Still it is an emotional condition cause the pain gives me anxiety and that is no fun to put it mildly. I´ll start reading and answering...No native speaker here so sorry for the way I write

Thank you for responding. It can also get me down. I mean not to know if en when it will go away. Also the pain is not always the same or related to the same circumstances. I try to link them together, maybe with time it will make some sence or not. I hear you about a stress free life...trying to but not always succeeding. Hope your medacation works for you...but I see you have tried several already...
All the best!

I sure home the zaldiar will work after a longer period of time. Your medication is a anti depressive isnt it? My dokter also mentioned those to me...is your pain acceptable or is it gone?...
Take care!

Hi Lobsang.
Amitriptline used to be used as an anti-depressant but they found out it also helps nerve pain. the Nortriptyline is a new generation of the same family of drugs but is more geared towards nerve pain & inflammation. It worked a treat for me. I had the the Costochondritis for 4 years. It was agony.
