So I believe that my incisive papilla in my mouth is swollen. How I I help it? It hurts really bad.

For two or three days i have felt this painful swelling in my incisive papilla (i think). right behind my two front teeth. What should I do? go to a dentist? a doctor? How do I get the swelling to stop? how do i get the pain to stop? what caused it?
